Walking Club – Aiguèze

Aiguèze (North East Gard)

This month the Walking Club heads to Aiguèze, a picturesque village located in the north east of the Gard, and designated one of “The most beautiful villages of France” – the first in the Gard.

It’s a relatively short walk of 7.7 kms and starts in the village, where we’ll admire the views over the end of the Ardèche canyons from the ramparts before we wander through the vineyards.  You’ll see every corner of the village, with its impressive architectural details, and hear about its rich, but tormented history.

This is the walk previously scheduled for October, which had to be cancelled due to bad weather, so let’s hope we’ll be lucky this time!
