She lives with her family in Seattle. Her daughter\, Bee\, is a young and very smart 13-year-old girl. Bee’s father\, Elgin\, is sort of a big deal at Microsoft. Bernadette is difficult\, eccentric and does not get along with the other uppity mothers at Bee’s private school.
