DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 16 June\, 3:00pm\nAt a Member’s home the third Tuesday of the Month \nThis month we’ll be discussing a historical\, bibliographic novel – ‘The Escape Artist’ by Jonathan Freedland. It covers the real-life\, gripping story of Rudolf Vrba\, who managed to escape from Auschwitz with detailed information to inform the world about what was happening there. \nMeticulously researched\, the novel shows how Vrba’s account was not believed\, nor acted upon\, by Churchill\, among many others\, and the effect this had on this remarkable man’s life. We’re expecting it will engender a lot of interesting discussion.\n \nBook club numbers are limited\, as we meet in members’ homes\, and unfortunately\, we currently have a waiting list.
