DESCRIPTION:Saturday 25 April\, 3:30 pm\nLes Arènes de Nîmes\n\nWe have had a super turn out of more than 70 members attending this yearly re-enactment extravaganza. This year’s production is “Spartacus – the Slave who Defied Rome”.  We also have a pre-show luncheon at the popular nearby restaurant Tempo. Spartacus attendees should have received a luncheon invitation flyer March 21st. If you wish to attend the pre-show luncheon\, the deadline for reservations is noon on Wednesday 15 April. \nYou will collect your tickets for the show from Gill and Yogesh\, please meet them at the El Nimeño bullfighter statue in front of the Arènes.  Meeting time is between 2:15pm – 3:00pm. It will take about 20 – 30 minutes to get through security and find our seats.  PLEASE BE ON TIME. \nThe show starts at 3:30pm and will last approximately 2.5 hours \nGill & Yogesh Mehta\nGill@britsnimes.com

DESCRIPTION:Saturday 2 May\, 10:00 am\nJardins les Sentiers de l’Abondance\nEygalieres\n\nSpring has now finally sprung in the gardens and there’s lots for us to do!  It’s so nice to see the new shoots and buds heralding another cycle of life. \nOur April meeting has been delayed until May 2\, because the Spartacus event is on our usual Saturday.  So on May 2nd we will be going to the Jardins les Sentiers de l’Abondance in Eygalieres to discover their organic Mediterranean planting using traditional techniques and irrigation\, respecting biodiversity. \nThey have made canals for irrigation originating from a natural water source and cultivated plants to suit the environment and accommodate the insects including bees. There are flowers all the way through from February to October.
