Highly acclaimed\, the novel is based on the Japanese embassy hostage crisis (also called the Lima Crisis) of 1996–1997 in Lima\, Peru. It follows the relationships among a group of young terrorists and their hostages\, who are mostly high-profile executives and politicians\, over several months.\nFor the first time\, the book club has decided to have a December meeting this year – a sign of the club’s popularity. Unfortunately\, we are limited by space but we are trying to open up additional spots for 2026. The estate’s origins go back to 1212\, when the Knights Templar built a commandery\, on the banks of the River Gardon. Today\, the main tower is all that remains of the original building. Remarkably\, since the 13th century\, the Domaine de la Tour has only been sold three times\, with the current owners acquiring the property in 1835. \nThe vineyard was entirely replanted in the 1980s and now carries the AOP Duché d’Uzès and IGP Cévennes classifications. In 2020\, the estate achieved Organic Agriculture Certification\, reflecting its commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible winemaking.
