Spring has now finally sprung in the gardens and there’s lots for us to do!  It’s so nice to see the new shoots and buds heralding another cycle of life.

Our April meeting has been delayed until May 2, because the Spartacus event is on our usual Saturday.  So on May 2nd we will be going to the Jardins les Sentiers de l’Abondance in Eygalieres to discover their organic Mediterranean planting using traditional techniques and irrigation, respecting biodiversity.

They have made canals for irrigation originating from a natural water source and cultivated plants to suit the environment and accommodate the insects including bees. There will be a guided tour in French starting at 10:00 am followed by a brunch. This will be a paid in advance event and numbers are limited.
