Our book this month is “The Sweetest Dream” by Doris Lessing.
The novel begins in the 1960s leading up to the 1980s and is set in London and the fictional African nation, Zimlia, a thinly veiled reference to Zimbabwe and narrates the story of a family. Two remarkable women, mother and grandmother fight for damaged kids. This novel reflects our recent history like a many-faceted mirror and is full of people not easily forgotten.
For practical reasons attendance is limited to 14.
