Around Château de Portes

The Cevennes vessel is the name given to the château de Portes, which guarded the old Regordane Way used by pilgrims and crusaders on their way to the Holy Land.

Through the woods, this hike will introduce you to another more recent past of the Cévennes: mining. Join us to discover the beautiful views overlooking the deep valleys and the fascinating history of the village which the miners’ chaotic galleries eventually wiped out.

The walk will be followed by lunch at the Relais du Chateau.
